HOW TO ADD NEW EVENTS OR EXTRA DATA

At MFDB we work to keep event information updated. However we urge all
users and event organizers to collaborate with us to help us with data update.

KEEPING THE DATABASE UPDATED
Our mountain film event database brings together a broad catalogue of worldwide events. We put great effort into keeping event information updated (specially dates) and also into adding new or still not published events. However we acknowledge our limitations and admit we may accidentally overlook details, data or even events we do not know about. This is why we urge users and specially event organizers to collaborate with us to have a database as updated and complete as possible. An updated event database is ultimately a common goal for all the community. Users benefit as public; organizers can promote their event, and producers and also film-makers because these events are a good platform to present their work.

INFORMING ABOUT FILM EVENTS THAT ARE NOT PUBLISHED

Add events
FOR FILM EVENTS THAT DON'T COME UP ON OUR DATABASE
Any registered user can report a new film event that is not already published on our website. You only need to fill out the Add film events form. This form is meant mainly to let us know about an event so even though information may be incomplete it will still be valuable. All events will be studied and information completed for them to go into the database. Events will be published as soon as possible and the user will receive a thank you message.

HOW TO LINK FILM EVENTS WITH THEIR OFFICIAL CHANNELS

Link a channel
TO LINK AN EVENT TO ITS OFFICIAL CHANNEL
With the event database you can access event profiles that hold basic information and also event channels managed by the event organizers. These channels can only be registered and managed by professional users that certify they are professional event organizers.

Links between the database's event entry and the channel in the Event channels section is dealt with manually by MFDB administration. This being a manual process, the link in some cases may be left pending approval, specially if it's a new channel. To solve this, users may send a linking petition through the contact form with the event's name in the subject. Once we receive the petition the link will be verified and updated on the database as soon as possible.
